egguy886/write-screenplay-skill

write-screenplay-skill is an agent skill project by egguy886 on GitHub: Turns novels or settings into commercial scripts, with two modes: domestic short drama and micro-drama for overseas audiences. It covers adaptation and script. 6 stars, last updated 2026-09-06, MIT license.

Editor's notes

Overseas mode uses English character names and English dialogue while keeping sluglines and action lines in Chinese, with Chinese subtext after every line; domestic mode is all Chinese. Adaptation runs in four steps, first stripping the novel's unfilmable inner monologue and omniscient narration, then turning emotions into actions an actor can play. Output must pass 6 gates; the action-decoupling gate allows at most 2 compound actions per action line, aimed at limb melting in video generation. scripts/install.py symlinks the skill into the directories of Claude Code, Codex, Antigravity and others; the docs are in Chinese and no API key is needed.
